Glasnost went together right after the Berlin Wall fell. I was in a scrapyard in Houston, and surrounded by wrecked traffic signs – I began to think of how cars had destroyed these symbols of laws and rules – it was a consideration of rules, and the consequences of breaking them. This is a departure from the clean minimalism of the stainless steel pieces, like the Storm King.
